We are recruiting for an Assistant Quality Manager in Banbury with our well established client. Your role will be to assist the Quality Manager in the co-ordination of all quality activities.

As an Assistant Quality Manager you will need to have/be:

  • Previous experience in Quality
  • Experience of motivating and managing a team
  • Knowledge of quality standards including TS16949 and customer requirements
  • Use of continuous improvement tools (i.e. six sigma)
  • Analytical and data driven
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Positive and supportive attitude

  • Working Hours: 36.00 per week Monday - Thursday 09.00 - 16.30 & Friday 08.00 - 12.00

Role of an Assistant Quality Manager:

  • Manage the team of Engineers and supporting staff
  • Act as Quality Manager in the absence of the Quality Manager
  • Maintain communication with the customer for issues
  • Be available for customer visits for both quality issues and general communication as needed
  • Support the Quality Assurance Manager and General Manager in quality related issues
  • Track internal and external data relative to the customer, identify areas of risk and support improvement efforts
  • Implementation of corrective (route cause) actions (PCA)
  • Audit systems and processes
  • Cost of Quality activities and reporting
  • Support new production launches
  • Facilitate timely responses to customer concerns. Ensure internal and external documentation is produced and maintained
  • Prepare and present pertinent data to management at quality reviews
  • Support ISO/TS/AITF quality system requirements as per the quality manual
  • Support the development of the Quality System and quality structure
  • To drive continuous improvement activities
  • To ensure newly launched projects are launched in a systematic manner and optimised ready for production
  • Train operators to required Quality standards
  • Ensure first off master Sample Area is maintained and managed
