We are recruiting for a Press Shop Tool Engineer in the Newbury area. Our Client is a well-established Company.

As a Press Shop Tool Engineer you will need to have/be:

·Served a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
·NVQ level 3 Engineering machining
·Ability to operate basic Toolroom machinery
·Can read engineering drawings
·Press tool tryout experience
·Fork Lift drivers License

Details:

·Salary: £Competitive
·Working Hours: Monday-Friday 6.00am-2.00pm / 2.00pm-10.00pm / 10.00pm-6.00am
·Location: Newbury, Reading
·Duration: Permanent

Role of a Press Shop Tool Engineer:

·To repair and /or maintain all production tooling
·To carry out specific process development tasks as / when required
·To support the design, build/modification of new/existing manufacturing tooling as/when required
·To support manufacturing in achieving customer satisfaction, quality and production output targets

As a Tooling Engineer you will need to have/be:

·HNC qualified in a mechanical / production based subject
·Pro Engineer, Creo design software literate
·Advanced Product Quality Planning awareness
·PFMEA awareness
·Problem Solving Skills – 6 sigma, 8-D, 3 x 5Why, Ishakowa, Fish bone diagram
·SPC Techniques
·Lean Manufacturing Techniques
·Project Management
·TS16949 / ISO14001 / ISO 18001 requirements
·Tooling Design Experience
·Press Tooling

Role of a Tooling Engineer:

·Lead responsibility for the efficient control of tool spares sufficient to support manufacturing
·Analysis of Statistical Process Control results and implementing corrective actions where required
·Tooling non-conformance investigation and corrective action Implementation
·Lead responsibility for tool drawing document control and change management
·Compliance with the Company’s Management System Manual and procedures
