As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will need to have/be:

  • Served a recognised engineering apprenticeship within a manufacturing engineering environment
  • Have several years’ experience of working on modern machine tools, with PLC/CNC electrical and electronic control systems
  • Have a sound working knowledge of modern pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components
  • Multi-skilled time served with an Electrical Bias with experience of either presses or CNC’s
  • The ability to work on PLC’s and Robotics

We are currently recruiting for a Digital Innovation and Technical Standards Manager, on behalf of our client based in Manchester.

Role of the Digital Innovation and Technical Standards Manager:

·Responsible as Technical Regulation & Standardisation Officer, being in accordance with the Corporate TR&S strategy and with the operating needs
·Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify product development opportunities
·Lead and co-ordinate the strategic technical & standardisation activities including relevant Bsi, BEAMA, IET Wiring Regulations, Building Regulations & Environmental technical committees
·Identifying trends in Circuit Protection and Wiring Accessory technology to provide input into Company digital strategy
·Develop supply chain strategy for both high and low volume products to be brought into the product portfolio
·Develop the company’s digital product platform in accordance with latest Technology and Market Requirements
·Lead the strategic technical and standardisation activities for the businesses
·Ensure processes and systems are LEAN, effective and as efficient as possible through process management and re-engineering
·Research into key, relevant future trends through internal and external sources
·Provide technical input into product development meeting company strategy
·Engage and lead colleagues on digitalisation journey
·Develop digital product roadmap and platform in accordance with technology and market requirements
·Select and integrate strategic partners for the supply of hardware and software requirements to support the portfolio
·Assist in the selection of new suppliers for the digital product platform together with Procurement, SCM, Product Management, Quality & R&D

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Electrical Wiring Accessories on behalf of our client based in Manchester.

Role of the Head of Electrical Wiring Accessories:

·Create and implement Electrical Wiring Accessories (EWA) Product Unit strategy, in line with Company strategy
·In addition to a functional role, lead EWA team in delivering world class Product Management, Research and Design and Procurement activities
·Ensures coordination of resource across multi-disciplinary team towards common goal of delivering innovative product to market on time and within budget
·Drives improvement in To-Market lead times through efficient, lean process management
·Ultimately accountable for providing collaborative, productive, mutually beneficial link between EWA operational product teams and the Sales Function, working together to identify opportunities and manage risk
·Provide escalation point for all EWA Project Management queries
·Coordinating Multi-disciplinary team towards key strategic objectives
·Maintain EWA market share through strategic evaluation of the market and implementation of innovative Product Design and Management and through effective Procurement.
·Provide effective link between subordinate teams and Senior Management
·Effective people management in ensuring exemplary performance, engagement, collaboration and innovation
·Collaborating openly across the business to meet EWA project timelines and cost requirements
